Recently, believe it or not, I released some of my original music on vinyl – a big, fat childhood dream of mine – under the moniker Apostrophe and Rye.
The album is called Paranoid Lullaby, and it was made possible by a whole bunch of awesome friends and family who supported me on Pozible.
‘Some artists spend their entire career trying to find a unique sound. Apostrophe and Rye has nailed it on the first go.’
Ian Kenny (Karnivool, Birds of Tokyo)
Most of these songs were written over the last four years, and then moulded and tweaked until my perfectionist brain was happy.
A couple of them, though, had been rattling around in my head, in one form or another, since I was about 14. It was wonderful to add a sprinkling of hindsight and finally give them a home.
Head to Apostrophe and Rye to find out if I can sing.
